Open since 1929, El Xampanyet is a tiled, standing-room-only bar run by the same family for four generations. The specialty is anchovies in vinegar and their house cava, served cold in small glasses.
Arrive before 1pm or after 8pm to stand any chance of a spot at the marble counter.
