A first-hand guide to Asian Road in Santa Eulària, Ibiza, covering Peking duck, dim sum, Pad Thai and the open-kitchen dining room.

Asian Food in Santa Eulària: Asian Road Guide

Quick answer: Asian Road is a relaxed Asian restaurant in Santa Eulària des Riu, Ibiza. I recommend it for freshly made dim sum, Peking duck and Pad Thai, with an open kitchen and a warm, casual dining room.

I came to Asian Road looking for good Asian food in Santa Eulària and found a restaurant I wanted to return to just to work through more of the menu. The flavours felt careful and balanced, the service was warm and the food was far more considered than a standard takeaway-style Chinese menu.

Why Asian Road stands out in Santa Eulària

The open kitchen is part of the appeal. You can see the chefs at work, and it gives the room an energetic, welcoming feel. Asian Road brings together Chinese cooking, dim sum and dishes from across Asia, while keeping the experience relaxed and accessible for a dinner in eastern Ibiza.

What I would order

Peking duck

The Peking duck is the dish I would not miss. The skin was crisp, the meat tender and the plate came with the fresh cucumber and sauces that make it easy to build each bite the way you want it.

Pork gyozas and siu mai

The dim sum showed real care in the wrappers and fillings. The pork dumplings were juicy, while the steamed siu mai had delicate pastry and a generous filling. They are a good way to begin if you want to explore the kitchen beyond the larger mains.

Pad Thai wok with prawns

Although Asian Road is especially strong on Chinese dishes, the Pad Thai with prawns was one of my favourites. The noodles had a good balance of sweet, savoury and citrus notes, with fresh prawns and lime bringing the plate together.

Crispy chicken yakisoba

The crispy chicken yakisoba combines stir-fried noodles with crisp fried chicken and teriyaki sauce. It is an inventive, comforting dish that works well for both adults and children.

Shrimp dim sum

The shrimp dim sum is another lighter choice, with chopped prawns in wonton pastry, gently steamed and full of flavour.

My final recommendation

For authentic Asian food in Santa Eulària, Asian Road is an easy restaurant for me to recommend.

The properly prepared Peking duck, delicately wrapped dim sum and flavourful wok dishes show that there is real knowledge behind the menu. Add friendly service, a child-friendly atmosphere and a very good price-to-quality ratio, and it becomes somewhere I would confidently recommend to both visitors and local residents.

I would return for the Peking duck and pork gyozas, but I would also use the next visit to explore more of the owner’s creations, particularly the crispy chicken yakisoba and prawn dim sum.
